We need some sort of private form ASAP (pm isn’t going to cut it) so we can start discussing our general initial strategy (GIS). Also there’s no need for anyone to even know how we’re set up, etc (They could come to our page or something, but it would be better that this completely public forum).

edit: humm.. I think I meant this for the other thread, but I suppose it doesn't matter.

I actually liek NYE idea about having schools, it contributes to the roleplay part of the game and to the buildup of our team's culture. I will join the Diplomats school, or rather start one if none exists- the school should focus on diplomacy and public relations, as well as informing the members and the gOdz on what is going on with our team.

I guess we have enough tactician already, and damn good ones, so i figured diplomacy and ploys will need a push here.

as for the civ's choice- 1)Koreans (their Hwacha is actually able to kill a unit- according to civ3.com)

2)Persia

3)Babylonians

Arabs - The Ansar warrior looks sweet.... if the civ3.com info is correct.

Vikings - the berzerker is good, even if not on water maps, and well.... Vikings are damn cool

Iroquois - nice Civ. good MP traits. super UU.

humm.. I thought we were going to discuss this in PM, oh well it's not necessary for this.
I think traits are more important than UU.
I think we should definitely chose a Civ with the industrious trait, there’s going to be a lot of priorities early on and those fast workers will be key.
Other than that I think the traits are pretty even. Expansionistic (the most controversial trait) is a real gamble, if you want a super-early assault it is key: find and destroy. If the map is >=large than if <=small than , standard =??.

Although I don't feel too strongly about this. Traits and UU don't make or break you.

I know England and France are the tradition "crap" civs, and the Koreans were expected to be weak (bombardment isn't all that great), but if they do have lethal bombardment (and other units don't) this changes things quite a bit.

About our schools: Diplomats Tacticians and Economist- I don't think we should have a ministers appointed or elected from each school- do that the SMC is always from the tacticians and FAM is from the diplomats, etc. I rather see the schools act more as expert discussion groups and advisors, and as the skeleton for role-playing. In this spirit i offer the name of our team to be:

Liberal Schola Assembly

'schola' means elite soldiers or school in latin, and together with the Liberal prefix this adds some ambiguous ideological contradiction (are we liberal or we consider ourselves to be elitistic militants)
