I Captured Half a City! Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

I captured a city at the edge of a flat map (no x-wrapping) and this is what the city view looks like:

It was only after capturing it that I could see the city name. And even after capturing it, I still can't see the name or city info unless I zoom to the city.

Just some off-the-wall observations.

I think Firaxis should impliment a rule that cities must be one tile away from the edge. If not for gameplay then at least for clarity's sake.

I agree. When playing a "flat Earth" type map, you shouldn't be able to found a city within 1-2 squares from the map edge.

The 1/2 city does look rather silly through.

Just out of curiousity, does the other half of the city show up on the other side of the world?

Haven't been there yet, and no map trades reveal that area yet. I'll keep you posted.

Got spare money?

Hey, they could add this as a feature! "Sir, we have captured half of the city, but the other half still offers some resistance..." "Burn them down!!"

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

You should rename it, of course.
Some suggestions:
Demi-Delhi
or, Cleaved-land
or, Mini-apolis
