	CtP Crashes all the time Support Apolyton

Could anyone help me with my problem?!

CtP works fine until it freezes strangely!
I have not mod it.
It just freezes and then i must restart the computer.
What´s wrong with the game!?!?!?!?!

	Increase Your PM Length

Have you got the patch installed? If not, try that, otherwise you might try reinstalling CTP.

No has not worked when I have used patch.
And if I reinstall, it will work longer than usual
but then it freezes again and it´s the same old situation
with the game. But I´ll try the patch once again.

What kind of system are you running?
Do you have any other programs running while playing?..just asking..as it may cause a problem if your system resources are MAXED out..just a thought.

Oh, and do you have the actual game..or warez?..as in illegal copy..just trying to account for any/all possibilities.

I sometimes had problems when I tried running some music in background and a few other programs..

I hope this helps some..I will continue to try to come up with any more ideas...

I have Windows 98. It doesn't effect if I'm running other programs. I have got the game as a birthday present from my parents so I think that it isn't illegal. I think it's in my computer because it's the same thing with for example in EA Sports games, Mafia and few others.

Hmmm..just a thought..do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?..I have heard.that sometime issues such as this cause an internal conflict, resulting in either hangups/freezeups or crashes/lockups...just a thought..also..as another avenue..have you defragged your HD..or emptied out your internet cache..

Have you "Right-Clicked" your "MY COMPUTER" icon to look at system resources..that will tell what resources you have..just curious..whats your RAM?...

These are just thought to ponder and trails to run to see if its one of them mentioned as an issue.

Well I have 384Mt RAM and NVidia Riva TNT2.
I have no idea about latest drivers for my graphics card.
I have defragged and it didn't effect very much.

Ville, If possible, try installing CtP on another computer. If it works on that test computer, then you know its your computer that is the problem. If it doesn't work on that test computer as well, then you most likely have a defective CtP CD. Good luck in your trouble-shooting!

Are you still playing in the mode where the game makes suggestions? Turn that off (can't recall what it is called right now. It is under the options pull down) and it should stop freezing.

Are you playing in the mode wherein the game makes suggestions to you? Turn that off (I can't recall what it is called right now, it is under the options pull down). That worked for me.

ville, what driver version are you using for your TNT2? If you dont know, right click on My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Display Adapters, select the properties for your TNT2 > driver > Driver File Details, it shouls say something like File Version: 4.13.01.2183

I had problems with alot of games, including CtP1/2 and some EA games, i just changed my TNT2 drivers to v21.83

I downloaded new graphics drivers few weeks ago and it really did work!
And now everything works just fine
