Should I Moo before I Moo Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I am quite interested in "Space Civilization" games but have never come across the Master of Orion series.

Should I have a go at the Original games, MoO and MoO2 or just play MoO3 when it finally comes out?

As MOO3 i ready to be released, i guess you can start with that one. MOO and MOO2 are "classics"...and i still enjoy playing them. They are different games to me. Sometimes i enjoy MOO and sometimes MOO2. They are worth a try, that's for sure, but you don't need to play them to understand the story of MOO3. You could read the history behind it to understand the different species.

If you can't wait another 3 weeks, i'd say sure go ahead...and you'll soon be an addict!

One more thing: if MOO1 was released with brand new graphics but no change to gameplay...it would become a HUGE hit. I haven't seen any other games that good (balance, AI and so). Even MOO2 (in which you have tons of fantastic features) isn't as good (again: balance, AI, Diplomacy, Spy system...)

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

MOO3's combat (for example) should be much more interesting than MOO1's was. The whole "stacks of all ships of a given design" thing never did it for me...

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

And it becomes somewhat boring when/if you've got the blackhole generator and the AI starts sending stacks of 32,000 small ships at you which get mostly wiped out by one ship in one turn.
