	All Hail Despot ???????? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Our GO (Governmental Outline) still has some kinks to hammer out, but enough has been agreeded upon thus far to allow for a vote to see just who will be our first Despot, er Emperor or Showgun (spelling???) ....what ever were going to call him. If you want the position, want to nominate someone, or just have a comment or two about the position to make, post below.

I would like to formally announce that I do not intend to run for the position of Leader/Ruler/Emperor/High King/Shogun or what ever we call it. My reason behind this is that I am not a warmonger. My first (and maybe my only) requirement of the person incharge is that he actually be a warmonger (or exceedingly good at war stragety).

i'll do it if no one else really wants to. i have finals comming up soon (December 9th is finals week), and the demogame supposedly starts December 1st, so i dont know how many of those initial turnchats i could do (did we decide on doing those?)

if the need be though, i'll squeeze them in wherver possible.

Of course the candidates will be limited to whoever has PTW. I probably won't get it until Christmas, so I can't be Emperor.

I could be convinced to do it as well. My work schedule will soften up after Thanksgiving, and I was planning ot run for something in the C3DG, but could just switch to here instead.

I would be willing to do it for December, and free up UnOrthO for the Civ3Dem (he's far more popular and respected over there than I am).

The actual title for the Chinese Emperors was "Son of Heaven"

Course, we could come up with different variations depending on the leader and/or their style.

Bringer of Blood, Kicker of Slugs, etc. I like the idea of giving names to our periods, like "Year of the Beheaded Rooster".

GF... are you actually a warmonger? Also, it looks like you are doing quite well (if not winning) the DM position in the SP DG. Would you still have the time to be Emperor here, DM there, run the Mini-game there and set up and run the modified mini-game here?

GF just droped out of the DM race in the SP DG. He has also said that the $Mini-Game stuff can wait. I hear by nominate GF to be our first Emperor!

What OC meant Ennet, was that he seconds (supports) my nomination of GF to be our first Emperor.

It looked like Uber didn't want to take the helm at the start of this game.

I normally would have gone with Unortho (sorry GF), but it looks like he has some whip-cracking to do in the SP DG. Plus GF pulled out of his SP DG election (which ended in a tie) so he can work here (um... Right GF?). I also would have liked to see Aggie say he was interested, but he won the Presidential Election in the SP DG.

Anyone else think they might want to try?

As I probably won't have PTW until mid-december, I cannot be a candidate. After then, I'd rather first hold a position as a high king (or whatever we were going to name the advisor position) before thinking of becoming the leader.

Oh, don't throw me in there. Ghengis will make a fine leader. I would gladly follow him, perhaps with one of the High King/Consul positions?
