When can we expect a patch? Support Apolyton

Just wondering ... will there be a patch before christmas to make the game playable, as i would like to play civ 3 over the holidays

Sandy,

Firaxis is always mum on the subject of when they intend to release patches. They haven't announced a date yet, and they undoubtedly won't either (If only nations guarded their military secrets as effectively as Firaxis guards its patch release dates).

Except for the latest one, Firaxis released Civ3 patches every 2 months. I don't know if it's a deliberate pattern or not. If yes, we can expect next patch in early January.

The next PtW patch, which will be mostly fixes for MP for sure, well I bet before Christmas, but for slight gameplay fixes for both SP and MP that should be the next one after, 2 months later on then- perhaps Feb?

Wouldnt it hurt sale if they are delaying the release of sales? I mean who would want to buy a buggy game without a solution to the bug as of current state? If I had not bought it, I would certainly wait myself until problem is resolved.

edit: urgh... not release of sales. patch, patch!
