	More Flag Icons! Suffering from ads?

I was going through the flag icon menu and I saw that there are no American State flags in it. Is there a way to add them so I can respect my state? And then of course the Canucks might want their provincial flags also

I've already posted two well arguemented and fairly long flag request threads, but the official response is still "no new flags", so it's just a waste of time to send or post new requests as they won't result in anything. But if there would be new flags added, it would be nice.

Well, we tried to convince them to have paid memberships and cookies for those who buy merchandise, but it all failed. Maybe we should just send them cheques by mail. That should satisfy them.

The reason some flags are in as dependencies are in are because that is how Markos got them from his source. They will stay in because that is easier than getting rid of them. And because taking any away at this point would lead to mass protest.

Why the artist originally included them? I would guess statehood is a tricky thing. Do you include places that consider themselves a state or only ones internationally recognized? What about dependencies that are pretty much autonomous? So the artist had to pick and choose and for ACS it is easier and makes the most sense to just stick with those choices instead of trying to decide which states to add and not to add when it is just a simple added feature to see where you are from. I am sure that if there is a dependency around the world that someone really did belong to without a flag, Markos would allow that to be added. But he does not intend for everyone to simply put up whatever flag they want to.
