I heard that taller men get married earlier then the shorter variety. Apparently height is a desirable factor.

What I find disturbing is that I seem to be shrinking. 15-years ago, in my mid-20's, I was just a hair (or, more accurately, a quarter-inch) under 6' tall; now, at 40, I appear to be 5'10.5" (which I'm rounding UP, dammit). I have no explanation for this.

Its a well known fact that folks become shorter as they get older. Something to do with cartilage in the spine becoming less springy as you get older I believe. A couple of inches (5 cm) seems to be average.
