Me also, I think there should be a rule not to let anyone in who joined Apoly before August, that's about when the PTW hype started.

You can click their user names and click "view all posts" on the description page to look and see what and where they've been posting to see if they're legit or just secondary log-ons.

Both seem legit. Flash has almost 100 post and Galvetron has over 300. Gal joined in August....

I think both should be alowed in.

one other thing is that besides making sure they aren't DL's or just traitors, i think the smaller our team is the better we'll do, and the more fun everyone will have since it will be easier to give out cities and positions to the people

One other issue. We had previously talked about us originals being the High lords and new members being brought in underneath us. Are we still going to do that/

If so, someone needs to volunteer to be the sponsoring lord for each of these new prospects.

I think that after Galvatron, we announce that new members must provide documented proof of their warlike nature for admittance.

And thusly close ourselves off from new members for a while. This way the group won't become too big.

He didn't exist until after PTW and he has few posts. Which is a classic profile for a plant or alternate logon for someone already active.

I say we let Galvatron in, but not HotEnamel.

Also, I would propose that we make a public announcement that porspective members must prove they are "warlike" for membership and hold a debate similiar to the court sessions in the Democracy game in the public forum where the prospective member can defend his warlikeness before the world.

Then we would vote in our own forum and announce the whether they were in or not in the public one.

It would give us the aura of some secret military order.

Realpolitic is a Warlord, has 160 some posts, many of them in the stragety forum. Unknown at this time if he is a warmonger.

ZigMonty is a settler. He has two posts. Both made today. He also registered today (12-3-02 BTW)

Realpolitic seems ok to me, but I kinda want to keep our numbers down for a little.

ZigMonty---FAT CHANCE! I don't think I would approve him even if he was voted in! Not like thats going to happen. My bet is he is a DL and someone is just testing.

I am going to check the number of new regestars per day for the last week or so to see if an unusual pattern arises...

I agree with donegeal in the ZigMonty case. We have to wait and see how the behaviour of this “citizen” is.
Realpolitic seems ok to me, he's is very participant.
If he is a warmonger or not... well, I used to be a coward builder, but in the C3DG I learned how to enjoy wars... Now, I'm involved in wars in all my games, right from the start...

Yes, let Realpolitic in. He sounds rather warmongering/Macciavalian (did i spell that right). As for ZigMonty, I don't know. I appreciate the need for secrecy if he is a DL (what does that stand for, anyway?), but if he really is new and just got civ III now, I would want to let him in. We really do need more contributing members (rather than members that do nothing).

Aro: new avatar?? Do you plan to change it back when you start doing maps again? I liked the old one
