Terms of those in office Full PM-box? Change here!

There are two ideas floating around on how long terms of office should be, so I decided to make a poll and see what people in the team want.

Mmmmh, tough choice, but after some hesitation, I voted for regular elections. It will help having some turn-over in the government, and it will help having some fresh blood and new ideas at a ministerial post

I vote for regular elections. That way, we avoid hard feelings if the entire team is lobbying to remove someone who they think isn't doing a good job. Plus, it will speed up the process of getting someone out of office who isn't doing so well.

And, we don't have anything saying you can't run for a post twice, so if the person in office is doing well, they can probably just get re-elected.

Regular elections, but:
- if the president/minister is willing to continue and we don't have other candidates for the same position, the term should be automatically extended.

Btw: I really don't want to get there, but what if we want to release urgently somebody from his office? (following a huge mistake, misconsideration of team's votes, unavailability for long periods, etc.) Shouldn't we have a rule for this, just in case?

I suggest that if 1/3 of the members are proposing a Vote of Confidence (Poll of Cofidence, lol) and it gets voted (>50%), the minister must go immediately.

Another unpleasant proposal (for the Constitution):
- Proved betrayal of Legoland must be punished with immediate exclusion from the team.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

I believe under our constitutional draft, we have made it possible to have the Senate (i.e., all the citizens) make a "no confidence" vote for immediate removal. Hopefully, we won't have to have any of those, though...

I vote for regular elections.

The terms should be time based (not turn based) that way Legolanders will know when it's time to vote.

I would like the terms to be longer than 2 weeks. But I guess that'll be another poll.
