Eight little Civians, spread out under Heaven,
Lincoln got whacked, and then there were seven.
Seven little Civians, building huts with sticks,
Chariots smashed the Persians and then there were six.
Six little Civians, thriving and alive,
Zulus swords hit Cleo and then there were five.
Five little Civians, Babbies cultured more,
Zulus wiped 'em out with tanks and then there were four.
Four little Civians, Greeks want techs for free,
Rome and Aztecs counterpunched and then there were three.
Three little Civians, Caesar's in a stew,
A sacrificial offering, and then there were two.
Two little Civians, Zulus nearly won,
Shaka lit some rockets, and then there was one.

Better than Shakespeare! I think anything of literary value is good to go here bashman. We need someone to make a children's sing-along next for variety.

I'd like to say keep the goods coming, bassman, but I am not sure how that would work out since only Shaka is left.

Any way, poems are always a fun diversity from prose, so if you come up with more, feel free to post

This is the best line!

This seems somewhat out of place however, as it seems to be a regression in technology?

I had originally intended this to be the outline for a story of Zulus ascendant, with a couplet leading each chapter, but I never got around to it. The Aztecs took out the Romans for me, with tanks.
