A few newbie questions Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

1) I just now realized that my ship sticks around if I log out and can be attacked when outside of federation space (and I have to be since I got up to level 15-16 already) Does the escape pod guarantee I can keep playing if my ship is found and destroyed while im offline?

Im assuming it'll give me a new level 1 ship to work with, but I
dont know

2) Is money in the bank 100% safe? Im not real sure on how that works yet.

Increase Your PM Length

With the escape pod, you lose your ship, all upgrades, all cargo and all energy. However, you restart with a brand new ship, 100 energy and all of your credits, IIRC
