REX, of course. Is there any other choice?

What does REX mean?
I usually build a settler first if no one is near by, warrior otherwise

Rapid Early Expansion. Getting as many cities as possible as early as possible.
We should build a warrior first(unless we already have a scout) to find a place for the second city, get a general feeling on our surroundings and open the nearby huts.

you think warrior first?
I sometimes do that, but settler first also seems to work

I dont think the city gets to size 3 quickly enough to build a settler ASAP.

Ok, we'll settle all those details when we see the location.
Btw, what do you think of simulating our starting location(and later expansion squares) in the editor? To plan the turns ahead food and production wise. This way we can play more efficiently.
This is not illegal, because the same can be done with a pen and a paper. It's just easier.

Dissident :
In the vast majority of my games I build a warrior first and then a settler and still wait for 1-3 turns until the city gets to size 3.
