I am goign to act like the controller today, and try to make sure that evrything goes smoothly (so I will announce persi as our civ if there are no other votes in a bit)

I see what you're talking about Flash....

I went ahead and started a game to see what Persia is listed as....and it shows them as Scientific and Industrious, even though the manual lists them as Militaristic and Commercial...

So now the question is "what are they REALLY in the game itself?"...is the opening spash screen in error and they are Mil/Com or is the splash screen correct and the manual is wrong?

Let me try something. I will start a game and see what advances I start out with... Be right back....

Ok, started a game as the Persians - my starting advances were Masonry and Bronze Working - meaning that the manual is wrong and Persia IS Industrious and Scientific NOT Miliatristic and Commerical. You are right Flash, the Civ Manual is wrong.

The bad thing about Immortals is they have a movement of 1. The celts have a better uu if you ask me.
