	Attachments... Put an end to popups!

It's been known for a while that we aren't able to post attachments in the team sub-forums. Before we started, this wasn't much of a big deal.

Now, however, we need at least image attachments to be allowed. Otherwise, practically everything except diplomacy would be impossible to debate, since we'd need maps to reference.

Please, MarkG, would you at least consider the possibility of fixing this? (BTW, attachments seem to be allowed in all other subforums, public and private. Well, at least those I can access, like the Civ2 MSDG team forum. The team subforums seem to be the only subforums where this doesn't apply.)

Concur, it takes much longer to post your graphics on other websites then link to them in your posts in the team forums.

Alternatively, if fixing this problem turns out to be too much of a hassle MarkG can simply set up a password-protected folder for every team. Every team will be able to set their password and change it periodically, upload files via FTP and view the directory's contents via HTTP or FTP. Each team can have a quota of several MBs, as per MarkG's judgement.
IMHO this is just as good.

I used my "connections" to put in a request that this gets fixed in a more noticeable location for Markos. We'll see if it has any effect.

Is it reasonable to expect Dan and Mark to set aside MBs of space and the band width for moving many images to accomodate 6 small groups when Poly is short on some resources at critical times?

I have a feeling some of the 'oversights' were quite purposeful.

Mark has given us the critical bit, the private forums here. The rest I am happy to sort out for ourselves. How hard is it for the teams to maintain mailing lists for screen shots and other things needing distribution?
