As people seem to have started to trust our inocence on the Annals of madrid topic on the public forum (they seem to think we have no or few ambitions about wining the game!), we should start and poison them with fake info about us and starting positions, all well mixed with bits of real information to make it more acurate. Arnelos, why donīt you post something as a member creating an Ice cream factory, or telling them about seņor rubi maserīs cacti plantation? That could make īemthink we are somewhere we arenīt. Also, maybe you could tell about someone wandering on vast grasslands and plains, and keeping secrecy about our hills. Also, I see that History guy must not say he went into the mountains for wandering, but instead into the desert...

The only problem with doing this is that they will know eventually that we were lieing to them. When they finally look at our map and see that we have no desserts or ice nearby our starting location, they'll be able to call us on the lies we've been spreading and we'll lose their trust.
If we're going to lie, we need to lie about things they CANNOT disprove.
We need to work hard now to present ourselves as trustworthy, straightforward, and fun-loving. It's perfectly OK for bits of truth to be given to the other teams about us, especially when they will later be able to verify that we were telling them the truth.

I guess I will just try to make up an amusing RP story then...
- what happened, what we did, people we met, stange food and rituals, etc. |
OOC
Yes, talk about the strange peoples we encountered:
0. The people who introduced us to some basic food in Spanish cuisine
1. The people with only one foot who got around by hopping about
2. The people who worshipped the tomato (they could be the same people as #0)
3. The people whose gods were named Uhhhh and Ummmm
4. The people who dressed in cloth from head to foot in public and covered their faces but left their buttocks completely uncovered in order that the noise of foolishness [i.e. talking] would be kept silent but the noise of wisdom be dispensed freely
5. The people with a giant bronze gong as big as a house which they bwanged twice a day, every day a) once when it was time for the tribe to wake up, and b) rhythmicallywhen it was time for the tribe to go to their Lovers Beach and make little tribesmen
the more bizarre and ludicrous and just plain silly the better!

What do you think on this, me going there and posting a story like the Squidīs saga: making me travel long into the sandy plains to look for the so afamed desert squid, to help us save madrid from the greatest squid crisis ever...
We have plains (some) and we have deserts... but this shall mislead them into thinking that we are far from anything resembling a hill... post here if you approve it.

I don't want us to outright lie to them about our terrain. If you want to say that you crossed a long desert to come to Madrid and eat squid, you're welcome to. But don't tell them that Madrid is in the desert or surrounded by desert or jungle or whatnot because, in the end, they will find out that we're lieing to them and everything else we've told them will be questioned.
We want to tell them bits of truth. They'll be skeptical anyhow. When they finally verify it (and they will eventually) and see that we ARE next to a river with waterfalls and cattle and so forth, they'll think we've always been trustworthy with them and reinforce their naive faith in us.
Furthermore, I was the first to post a pledge in the forum that we would not break the rules, cheat, mislead them, etc, etc, and I'd like for us to keep up that image.
You can tell that they do not trust each other. We want them to continue that trend. However, they are starting to trust us and enjoy our tales and get into our world. We could become their favorite storytellers and be more entertaining than their own civ. They'd most certainly want to keep us around AND they'd most certainly want to become involved in our stories too!
I'm sure they'll get a kick out of hearing us write about meeting them and speaking well of them in our propoganda thread "Stories from Madrid."

I suggest the opposite, we make īem think we are weak and dumb, we hide our soldires when they are about to get a free sneak peek of our city, then they think we are weak and then we get īem unprepared!
