Put an end to popups!

“A ship is a fool to fight for a fort.” : I renew the call for our great and peaceful civ to make a beeline to metallurgy in order for us to protect our coastal cities from naval attack. This call has reached new urgency (for me at least) now that the Celts have access to ironclads.

“The fourth arm of defense” or micromanagement hell: Instead of forcing the President to move around 30 odd caravans, I suggest that we cut back on their production and start construction of either marketplaces or banks in key cities. I will leave it to the collective wisdom of the President and the City Planner to determine what the definition of “key city” is in this case.

These are my suggestions. I await yours and I will send a completed report to the President in 3 days.

A: All delays should be met with summary floggings and stonings in public . Didn't I tell you I'm big on Fundamentalist regimes? If you're if feeling particularly benficent, just throw the offender into the arena with some hungry lions.

B: If we're not being aggressive, it makes sense to build Coastal Fortresses where the AI is most likely to attack. But don't make this the sole goal of research at the moment.

C: I'm also big on Marketplaces and Banks, build them now with the intention of increasing the tax rate later once we've built enough to make it worthwhile. We need to avoid those unhappy citizens.

D: I try to hav my own thoughts only rarely, It's much easier to have someone else's. Or just sit back and

I agree with Metallurgy as a focus for research, but not for coastal fortresses. We need conscription, which should adequately protect our cities.

Drop some caravans for city improvements- esp.
banks, marketplaces, sewers and aqueducts.

This way we can continue WLtHD for just awhile longer.

it's not like any poll i could post would encite a spirited debate about anything, the people desire peace, prosperity and lots and lots of caravans. That should form the basis of a very well written report i think
