	Am I subbed to too many threads? Got spare money?

I'm just curious if anybody else has the problem where they sometimes don't get updates to threads that they've subbed to (or at least have responded to and have a little black dot on the envelope for them.)

I've been having problems recently and wondered if I should go through and unsub from some of the older threads that are no longer active or if it's some Internet hiccup that I'm just not recieving the mails that somebody has posted to the threads I've subbed to.

I tried using the "subscribe to thread" over a year ago, but ended up getting too many email notifications sent to me...so I stopped using the option.

But to try and answer your question: Yes, the "subscribe to" option does (or did) work. Just double check your profile to make sure you have a valid email address listed.

I also tried to use that option once, but then I had to turn it off after I received 180 (!) notification emails during a weekend.

I leave it on.......which sometimes distracts me from what I should focus on........but overall it is a useful feature.

While I appreciate the commentary... if somebody else will re-read what I said... I wasn't asking about any of that...

I was asking about if there was a bug that caused me not to get all my notifications and if it could be partly due to the fact that I was subbed to so many threads (five pages in my profile last I checked.)

I participate in PBEM in CtP and SMAC/SMAX. Around 20 games... not sure of how many exactly, so there are quite a few threads right there... plus putting together games threads and then threads here in the Apolyton/Community and Other Games...

Not to mention the Mac forums...

Of course, now the problem seemed to correct itself, but I'm still curious about why there was the hiccup... and how I could prevent it.

Well I just checked and I have 3 pages worth.

I do remember not getting mails before, but I just assumed the feature was temporarily down.
