Hi,
I just played (for several days!) my first SMAC game. It takes much too long to move all the units!
Maybe I don't know all the commands for the units, but there is a an easy way to group several units together and then give orders to the whole group? Similiar as in CTP, if you ever played that one.

Nope. The assemble group function has never worked properly.

You can form groups and move them around to cities, but on the battlefield (as I just learned from that lovely Miriam) it don't work too well.
