Hmmm.

How hard is it to share a hotmail account? We register GatheringStorm@hotmail.com with a password we all know.

I email screen shots, updated scenarios, etc to that address. Whenever someone wants to grab an item, just log in and download.

Eventually we have to cull older stuff, but with jpgs and bix files the 1M hotmail limit accomodates a lot. Additionally, several of us can maintain a complete archive and supply mates with needed older material upon request.

Good plan?

I think that's an excellent idea. But wouldn't the box be loaded with constant trash mail? it hotmail after all...

I don't really mind that, but as a backup i suppose we use this email service- its super quick and easy:

And on a different subject, also regarding the issue of game organization: NYE, i saw that you posted against the iead of having an inter-team council, but later changed your mind. I agree that we don't need another layer of officials, but some discussion between team leaders should exist. I thought of proposing the GoW (as the ambassador) that we pull off this thing, and wanted to know what do you think of the idea?

I thought of proposing a time period, probably in the weekend, that team leaders (or their second in command) get together and chat. This could be a one time meeting, or periodical. I do think we need at least one meeting of this sort in the next few days.

I have an additional hotmail account if we would like to use it. That would not be a problem, and I would be happy to give the password (or) whatever. Give me a day to clean it out of all the old messages, and we can use it, no problem. Just give me a thumbs up if so.

Or we could still look for a seperate email, somewhere else where it's free. either way it's a good idea in my book.

then we could have the team before us just send it to THAT address so we can ALL access the save! ?

Try www.softhome.net. It's a personal favorite. Simple webmail, POP3 (so if any of us have Email notification programs they can let us know when there's new material in the box) and a generous quota.
As for the password, let's make it a long one and change it periodically just to be sure.

I think that organisation is a good thing. I think that police would be a bad thing.

By all means, a council of leaders is a good idea. We have already done that and it was productive.

Good idea. For those who use POP3 to fetch the mails, don't forget to check "Leave a copy of the message on the server", or else it will be deleted.

Alas, the password's length is limited to 8 chars. Not much room for creativity.
I've used a random password generator and came up with:
2W4&wuba
Or: Two - WHISKEY - Four - Ampersand - whiskey - uniform - bravo - alpha if you prefer.
