	Hitman 2 vs. Splinter Cell Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Since I will be buying an XBOX in the coming weeks, I was curious about opinions of these two games, Hitman 2 and Splinter Cell. They both look terrific, but I think it would be pretty dumb to buy both at the same time since they are both stealthy type games. I'd rather buy a different type game (like Morrowind or something).

I'm leaning toward Hitman 2 at the moment. Can you think of any reason for me to change my mind?

Well, Hitman 2 is a good game, but Splinter Cell has been labeled things such as "best game on Xbox" by a couple magazines, and has an average review rating of 94% right now. Hitman 2's average is 85%.

I would get Splinter Cell, but I don't think you can go wrong with either game.

I liked Hitman 2 for the PC. I don't have any experience with the Splinter Cell but it sounds very very promising. Anybody knows if and when Hitman 2 will be available for GC?

I've heard that Splinter Cell is more "sneaky-bastardish" than Hitman 2 (where you're apparently able to complete most missions without being stealthy at all, so long as you have sufficient firepower). In other words, Splinter Cell is more like Metal Gear Solid 2 (where you really do need to be stealthy most of the time), while Hitman 2 is more like Deus Ex (where stealth isn't really a necessity if you've got an assault shotgun and a guided missile launcher).

I'm guessing buying either game will be good. Thanks for the help - I'll probably end up owning both of them. I'll buy one for full price now and pick the other one up when it drops in price.

I would hardly think that Splinter Cell is the best game on XBOX however - it doesn't look THAT good to be honest.

On an side topic: how good is Morrowind for XBOX. I've always liked games like that on the PC - but my PC sucks now so I'd have to get it for the XBOX. Any opinions on it?

Morrowind on the Xbox is great fun.

I tried the demo for Splinter cell and it is THAT good. Although I rented Hitman 2 and it was fun as well. Granted I got stuck at the wharf stage and couldn't get any further.

Morrowind is very good and its worth buying: its a huge game and you won't finish it in a weekend. Splinter Cell is great but I don't know if it's worth buying since I don't know how long it is (I haven't finished it yet). My advice is: rent both Hitman and Splinter Cell and try them for a while. Have fun!

yep, buy it!! you'll need to invest A LOT of time in it though!

That's what I mean Dino with GC. It just misses out on games all the time and the exclusive games for the console do not make up for it. At least at the moment here in Germany . But I am an´optimist the situation may improve in the future.

There's only one or two of the X-box exclusive games that have even come close to making me question my decision to get a GC. But then I look at the games we are getting and get over it.

But of course, I don't live in Europe and don't have to deal with getting **** on when it comes to games.
