Hi all!
Civ2 PBEM Diplomacy is an utility to do diplomacy in PBEMs directly between players. It's a team-work: Markus Kraus von Güntner (aka Galvatron) and Vincent Frachebourg (aka Cyrion) are the translators, and I (Javier Muñoz) am the programmer.
Well, I'm very, very busy with my university degree rigth now, but I had managed to do some serious work on the new version version. In fact, on Tuesday or Wenesday I hope to launch the BETA
New features the betta will add [version 1 includes gold/tech exchange and treaties like Peace, Cease-Fire and alliance]:
- Map interchanges:
*** Terrain maps (only the terrain, not the units or the cities)
*** Cities maps (cities+terrain)
*** Units maps (units+terrain)
*** Map about other civ (For example: you can ask German for French map in order to launch an attack against France with much more knowlegde)
- Cities interchanges
- After exchanging a tech that involves governments, you can launch a revolution!
- Bug about scientific research corrected.
- Betters and mode-detailed error messages
But, it will NOT include
- Units exchange: I have serious doubts about how to do an interface that includes units, and also I don't know how fair it is (It is very cheats-prone!)
So, I ask you for help.
- Betatesters: I need one or two betatesters. I ask you for load some scens, play a few turn and simulate a diplomatic exchange (playing the role of both the sender and the reciever).
- Translator: If you want to translate the utility to a new language (Currently I support French, Italian, German, English and Spanish), I'll be more than happy.
- Manual-checker: I will write a new manual. I'm very concerned with the manual of the older version. I now that my english is not clear, and the manual was, well, a little mess. I will write a RTF manual, but if someone with a good level of English would want to read it (or even write it), I will be happy.
Thank you in advance.

Hi guys!
There is the BETA! The ZIP is password-protected. I had sent the password via PM to all people that want to be a betatester. It works like the old version, but with a lot more options.
* Know bugs: Only English and Spanish language are working. In a few days I hope there will be more languages
* Examples of test that I've done
1) In John Ellies' Colonies III
In this scen, I had tested: map exchanges (Spanish map to United Provinces, United Provinces map about Iroquis to Spain, and so on), tech exchange (for example, Protestantism to Spain. Very ironic ), money exchange, teatries (French and English alliance!) and so on.
2) In Exile's Age of War
In this scen I have tested revolutions. When German recieved Democracy from England, they could launch a revolution and, after a few turns, change their governement to Democracy!
3) In Exile's Modern Age
In this scen I have tested that your scientific reserach is saved when you recieve the tech you are working on

I found a bug in PBEM Diplomacy tool (v 2.1): it don't increase your tech count (and your tech cost) after you receive a tech.
Yaroslav is informed, but I don't know if he can repair it fast, so temporarily I attach a program that can increase your tech count.
Choose your color, load game, look at original tech number and increase it by number of techs you received using PBEM Diplomacy tool. Save is immediate and automatic.
