First, due to RL situations, I will no longer be able to put out the Gazette. I authorize anyone to use the name and continue if they so desire.
Second, I hereby drop any attempt to impeach Thud. While I still maintain that there is grounds for it, and feel he should be, I don't have time to carry it out, and by the time any trial and poll was held it would be rather pointless at this stage since the elections would be over. Perhaps the court should look at ways to streamline the process? It's been nearly a week and it never even became an official court case...
Third, I have had allot of fun and thank everyone for allowing me to participate in this game. I will be around when possible, but not very often. Good luck, and don't let this game die out.
finally, I wish everyone a happy holiday season

So the general populace does not have distorted view of the facts, unfortunately for Thud, he lives in a magical land where occassionally there are great thunderstorms, and lightening strikes and power surges occur. Somtimes in this mysterious place, hard drives crash and get ruined. Sometimes in this land they celebrate a holiday and getting a replacement computer is impossible until after this strange holiday. And then, sometimes replacement computers are @$#%, and despite assistance from tech support, IRC can't be accessed. On top of all this, sometimes deputy ministers are hard to come by. 
Thank goodness Aggie, Togas, and the Ministers were a bit more understanding. 
Thud would not have been impeached, and no Removal from Office hearing would have been necessary.
I know this because he had the best lawyer in all the land - me.

By the way, he never said anything about resignation publicly, perhaps he did in PMs to you, but I can't find any public record of it.
In any event, contemplation of anything is not admission of guilt, and he never did resign.
Thud has always served us well here and RL happens. Most people would have given him the benefit of the doubt, if the Court allowed for the Removal of Office hearing, which I doubt they would have. I think we all deserve that kind of consideration.
Remember this is a game for fun, the rules and legal peripheral stuff we created here is not as important. Its also about teamwork and coming together to win the Game as a group, not about impeaching someone who had a horribly bad week. We all should remember that.
