Walking the streets of Tassagrad, SMC-nominee Meshelic passes by the familiar building that used to house the Shadow Service. It was only a short term ago that the Shadow Service was disbanded. Despite their accomplishments (succesully scouting out German troop movements to the notrth and the thwarted assassination attempt on President MrWhereItsAt and his cabinet, and oh yes, the first Apolytons in the new world were agents of the Shadow Service), the S.S. had suffered from lack of funds, and lack of support. They abandoned the once great SS Headquarters, which stood before Meshelic. Now it was a shoe factory.

Meshelic continued walking, his thoughts filled with old memories of the glory days. Looking for the perfect location for his Labor Party headquarters, Meshelic had scouted out several cities in Apolyton during his SMC campaign, and Tassagrad, the great city of his childhood, would no longer suffice.

He would have to find another city from which to conduct his Labor Party operations...

Meshelic - as a poor, once homeless and underfed dog - I respectfully request to join the Labour (proper English spelling) Party.

I have a fair paw with the pen, and am adept at defacing city sidewalks and fire hydrants.

I also voted for you as SMC, if that counts for anything regarding my membership... or maybe another can of Alpo. (But hey - I don't want to get you into trouble over election fraud.)

But gentlemen - I have just recently wandered into Apolytania - so I have some catching up to do. It also means I carry no bourgeous baggage - just my Mountain Equipment Co-op Knapsack and in it: my beat up plaid jacket, two cans of Alpo, a can opener, three beer caps, a subway token which is useless at this point in time, and yes - a well read copy of the Labor Party flyer.
