Uber is the military advisor. Red and Yellow Stars are the colours and symbols of communism. Communism is an advanced warmongering form of government. Of course he would put that there.

I'm for an anthem. I'd say go to some classical pieces, like Ode to Joy (Beethoven, the piece that's being played when you have WLTKD in Civ2) or the Valkyries' Ride (Wagner, like during the helicopter assault inApocalypse Now).
I'd tend more towards Ode to Joy, since it's easier to make lyrics on this music, like :

"Unity and highest glory
To our Apoleeeeetonia
Our values are democracy
and the love of Baaaanana"

Well, the lyrics could be worked more, but you get the idea

An anthem is not especially necessary, but I would think parodies of songs with new lyrics about Apolyton would be entertaining. As for the flag, I like the Bananian Soviet Socialist Republic flags. I suck at graphical editing, but maybe someone could rig up USA or EU flag with little bananas instead of stars? EU would work better because their stars are already yellow.
