I thought about holding my vote, but would actually like to see E_T as SMC, despite my own desires for the office. After being Domestic Minister for so long, he deserves to have some fun for once!

There will be more elections in the future.

Wow, 1-vote margin.

While the NewCon seems to have produced fewer races which are competitive in the sense of having multiple candidates, the races which have been competitive have been very competitive

(and for once it's not MY race )

Honestly, I'm having a total brain collapse. I thought I still had to vote in this race -- but now I'm here and I find that I've already voted and I don't remember who I voted for . I wonder if that's a bad sign or something .

Announcement

I withdraw my bid for Supreme Military Commander. Although I plan to remain very active in the Senate, I will not continue in my campaign for SMC. This was a very entertaining race, and I thank all of you who felt that I was the right man for the job and voted for me.

E_T, as former Domestic Minister, in my opinion is in better position to lead our troops to battle, having a more firm grasp on the resources that are needed preceding our war with the Germans and the Romans, and will do a great job.

Again, thanks to those who voted for me. I will plan on running again next term should time permit me to do so.

E_T - you gave me a good run for my money. Good luck, you have my full support!

Little do they know of E_T's mafia connections and the persuaveness of 3 handguns pointed at your head. Suddenly the urge to withdraw from the election becomes overwhelming..........

I'm amazed at how close this race was. Seriously, I had not idea I would be neck-and-neck with the great E_T....

I will not be leading the nation through our war's this term, however, something tells me I may have more important duties elsewhere in this game.

And don't you guys worry, I'm not leaving the Demo Game. I'm not even taking a leave of absence. I'll be around for sure. Either as an RA or.....

Wow... first time new messages have been off the first page in a while. (Of course, some of that is due to panag posting once again.)

Well, since ET is even with Meshelic & Civfan, I think this would technically call for a runoff. But since Meshelic has withdrawn, I don't see the need; unless, of course, someone is going to claim that every single Meshelic voter would support Civfan, who hasn't even campaigned. Of course, Meshelic's votes probably count as banana now, which would sound ET's percentage shooting up.

Thank you for running, Meshelic. It was good to see at least one election contested between good candidates this term. I hope you get a nice province.

I'm amazed. In my run for Imperial Expansion Minister (term 5?) I didn't get hardly any votes at all, well okay I got SOME votes....(fortunately or unfortunately, when Jonny became the IE Minister that office was rendered powerless due to present circumstances) and here in my second run for an office I lose by two votes.

Again, I thank all those who voted for me. Your confidence in my leadership will not be forgotten.
