My system crashed, so I have to reinstall nearly everything.
I'm trying to download the smacxpv2a.exe (SMAX 2.0a patch) from Apolyton... so far I've only got 1K of data and at the rate it's going, it'll take over 13 hours to download.
Are there any faster mirrors that I can get the patch? Or what exactly is the difference between the 2.0 and 2.0a patches?

You should be able to get it from firaxis games. The patch shouldn't take that long to download 10 to 15 minutes at most. I downloaded the smacx demo from there to check it out before I bought it, and it only took about 90 minutes for the whole 24mb demo.
