Is it possible to install only the server?
I have a Linux 7.2 system with no GUI installed. Everything seems to work fine, but , of course, it won't install a client. And when I try to start the ser...it returns unable to find civserver.
I just want to run the server on the Linux box and connect via the internet.
PS: The box is set up as a web server and is presently accessible.
Thanks,
Mark

If you compile freeciv yourself you can pass the argument "enable-client=no" to ./autogen.sh .
I guess you can't use most prepackaged builds as they include both server and client. Or you would at least need to override the dependensies to make the package install with an unusable client.
