If it was destroyed, it would have to lose the shapeshifting ability. Or else it could have just pulled itself back.

they do, but you wouldnt be pleased. The whole series messes with "If you killed your mother back in time before yo were born... would you exist?" idea. First, Arney comes in T2 to prevent future, which if successful, he wouldnt exist, therfore he couldnt prevent the future. Then in T3, Sknet, a future corporation which should have not existed sends an agent to prevent skynet from not existing. Ack! I hate these time paradox stuff!

It only works if they sent them back at the same time.

Basically the computers in the future can't realize that the first 2 plans have failed. Because they won't realize the first 2 plans had failed. They won't be in existance to realize the plan failed.

So this could work if they sent the third terminator back at the same time as the second one. Or if they sent T3 female back before they sent T2 terminator. Just not after.

In any other case the computers in the future won't be around to realize the first 2 plans failed.

Not really, the metal still has the ability, but the power supply that ran it was destroyed.

A computer has the same physical characteristics whether on or off. It only works with power. But the ability to compute is still there, even without power.

What about the rest of the original terminator? It was crushed but not totally destroyed.

My guess is Skynet is developed by a different company.

I have both DVD's.

Eddie was OK in T2. But after seeing the movies he put out after T2 I really don't want to see him anymore. Sleepwalkers brainscan was almost halfway decent, but I still don't want to see him anymore.
