well 2 can be answered if you believe that humanity orginated from africa/mideast. Then all human race must have come from somewhere along those region, or must have travelled thru.

OT: Watched Nova the other day and now they claim the ancestors that trace as being the white race made it to the new world before the mongloid ancestors. And apparently these "white" people travelled from Africa to mideast, broke off to europe and asia, where in asia broke off again sending some to the new world and rest travelling west again.
