Senor Crousto is leading an expedition from Madrid up the coast, perhaps in your direction. The ocean is south of our city, but the coastline curves north and party is now headed north with the ocean to the east. Reports from the expedition are that they are slogging through a jungle, which has slowed them down considerably.

Thanks jon. I think and I hope that they may be our neighbours to the south. If you take a civ3 map, put a 'u' shaped stringy continent on it, put us in the upper right hand end of the 'u', then if they are heading north - they may be our neighbours to the immediate south. If they are plodding through jungle right now, even better. That would create a real nice buffer between us and our neighbours, if it Spain, If not, OK too. It would probably isolate us and our next neighbour - and in that case - if the two us are separated from the others on this end of the continent, then my money is on our immortals.

I guess we can respond. I'm still not sure if they are on our continent. We haven't seen any jungle yet.

Just let them know to be careful of disease in the jungle. They are dangerous places. We hope to meet them (not too soon of course)
