I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about, man.
Color pallet has absolutely nothing to do with the Lith engine, but the art direction of the particular game...
I have NO idea what you mean by "flat, bitmap wires" but I'm sure you thought it sounded technical so you'd throw it in there. Are you talking about how some games implement things such as grates and wires as transparant textures rather than polygons? If so, again, this is an implementation issue with certain games -- Lithtech is more than capable of using real polygons for it, but that's slower (as it is in all engines).
I think the Lithtech engine is pretty good. Better than Q3:TA's engine these days. Inferior to the Unreal Warfare/UT2003 engines.
