Sorry I'm late, but did you count your pulse? It's very easy to do. You can either count for a whole minute, or count for twenty seconds and multiply by three. ( Hey, who has a whole bloody minute to waste on countng a stupid pulse. ) If the rate is between 50 and 100 beats per minute that's normal. If the rate is between 100 and 130 that's a little high, but it could be because you're excited, scared, feverish, or just exercized. If it's higher than 140 and you don't have a fever, just exercized, or had a fight with your significant other then it is possible that you have some sort of tachyarrythmia, but don't worry, at your age a simple EKG and a physical exam would pick up most of the serious causes. I'm not going to recite the various types of tachyarrythmias here and now, it wouldn't help you. You should make an appointment to see your doctor, but don't worry, the vast majority of incidents like this in someone your age are benign.
Other possible causes of a rapid heart rate are: caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, drugs, panic attacks, dehydration, sleep deprivation, and fatigue. It's also possible that you've been hexed.

Yep, the doctor agreed to see me today. He didn't bother with tests of course.. typical. Anyway it shouldn't be anything serious. I don't know what that tachy-thing means, but he said I have typical problem, that my heart sometimes just starts pounding randomly fast, and that it's not dangerous, and it's mostly like due to stress.
I think I'll demand tests (maybe I need a gun, beucase he wasn't co operating with me really), so I can be sure, and I read from the reliable source of information, the internet, that it can be dangerous when I work out, so we need to test that.. but it's unlikely to be dangerous even then. And that there's medication for it, if it bothers me often... yeah like I'm gonna get medicated even if I want to and bring money to the table.. Hhah!
Sorry I started this thread, it was just that I was worried and didn't know what to do .
