	Gathering Storm Update Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

From what I have gathered from eavesdroping on the strategy forum - they have made contact with at least one other civ. And the other civ is the one that made contact, not them.

Also, they appear to be gathering up for war. They apparently have built several units and are not using them to explore much. That makes me wonder if they are either defensive units, or units for a first strike. I know not which. If a first strike, they could have 3-4 warriors waiting to be upgraded to sword, using a warrior rush (and knowing them they will use about 8 warriors to do so), or even a couple of archers. They will not skip rex I suspect, as that is just to important to winning this game. But they will not be above sending a spear, 2 archers, and 6 warriors if they know where another civ is. And they can get this force rather quickly if they delay that first settler build.

WE NEED TO BE CAREFULL.

Also, remember GodKings first rule of Anger Management: leave no evidence for the bas-tards.

Very interesting. I wonder who they plan to strike at, especially at this early stage of the game... Are we considering a minimap trade? If they're prepared for a strike, I'd be inclined to say it'd be a bad idea, but we are considering minimap trades with everyone in general, and if they are next door (or perhaps one of the fated civs between us and GoW?), it'd be nice to know about it...

Where on the strategy forum and from who? I find it highly unlikely they are posting "accurate" info on the public forums. Remember the sole desert tile island start? I get the feeling this team takes extreme pleasure out of posting inaccurate info on the public forums and watching the rest of react to it.

Wouldn't the F11 screen indicate if they were far ahead of us in military units? I suspect they used some shields to build a barracks and not just units.

They do seem to be very tight lipped and want no interaction or information trades from us or anyone else however.

It is on several different threads. I have been watching them over the last week, and have just noted different things here and there. It may all be misinformation. I do not know. I don't think they are building up yet - but they hinted thay are not exploring. They are talking about different uses of early rushed, but not any specifics. This report is all conjecture, but I am hearing enough and reading between enough lines to make me nervous.

Gathering storm can also be cautious and not take chances. From them, this will just postpone the early rush by max 20 turns that is 1000 BC i/o 2000 BC.
