To grasp the meaning of that figure let's take another country the size of Greece, say Finland

Finland has 130 television channels.

BTW a funny story,
you know in the countries that surround us rock is not so much supported...

but there are of course some young peopel from albania, fyrom, bulgaria etc who like it.

seriously there are nova, filmnet etc private satelite networks who get you tons of chanels.

but i think that CIA "factbook" talked about 100% greek channels.

the high number IS still possible because

_most of them are local channels (not nationwide)

3 networks are satelite from what i know they give you tons of channels (but you have to pay for them)

they also give you other possibilities like computer-tv things

When I had direct TV at home, I had hundred of channels. Only maybe 5-7 of them ever had anything interesting on.
