	Neu Dem Minimap! (with bonus) Inflate your Upload Space

I received a copy of the Neu Dem minimap this evening in a mini-swap. Their map reveals a great deal more than any of the maps we've previously seen as it also shows a contact they have reached with (possibly) Vox ... could also be Lux as they both use red.

Please see the maps on this site, download a copy for yourself and if you can do a better job of piecing them together, please do.

Some thoughts...

Neu Dem did not explore south of their start location because it's all jungle. Their scout movement would be wasted. They went north and east instead.

We have a massive jungle wall protecting us from the northern civs! We just have to hope that there is not a civ directly to our west who will try to compete with us for Cow Valley.

Right now TEG has already passed the location of Neu Dem. If they head due north they'll meet them.

Neu Dem's eastern exploration is now directly north of Madrid, but they will explore all along the border of the jungle before daring to enter it. They may find another civ east of Vox.

Note how close Gow, Vox, and ND are. This little 3 team grouping is going to errupt into a very interesting conflict. I'm willing to bet that two of them will turn on one of them sometime in the stone ages. We need to stay on top of this.

Just finished a slightly nicer merge of the Neu Dem minimap, since I had the three way merge that was causing so much trouble. I'm e-mailing it to Togas -- just wanted to avoid work duplication .

Looks like continents for sure now-- I think I see an ocean to the west of Neu Dem. With as compact as we are with the 3 nearest teams, maybe the other two are located somewhere closeby to the south of Legoland.

If it is two large landmasses, this may mean each grouping will have to duke it out for control of their landmass prior to a final showdown for control of the world. Should be interesting.

4 of us on at least one continent. Ouch.... looks like war is in our future. At least it appears the jungle is on our side, so any war with us will most likely take place in mideaval times unless we choose otherwise. We need to explore and settle due west until we hit water, then move south to take all that land. Block off all teh others, then buils a massive industrial base to KILL KILL KILL them all from.

That's definately Lux Invicta, not Vox Controli. The color of red is the Roman red, not hte Japanese Rust/Red.

I wonder where Vox Controli is if they are also "north" of us. Perhaps they are to the east of Lux Invicta?

This all leaves the question of where Gathering Storm is... we REALLY need to know that.

GK, any chance we can do a minimap exchange with GS?

Vox stated in their message that they were heading south and had the ocean to the east of their explorer.

We figured they might be above us and heading our way, and that is still possible. It is also possible that they are north of Legoland.

GS is not responding to my requests - I think Mesh may be out of town for the holidays. Even before hand, they were not interested as they considered it "privleged" info. I was working on them....... but so far they are not responding much.

Are our explorers continuing to go to west? This is not my especiality, since my family places is near the already explored and well known lands, but I would sleep better if I knew that my sons and the sons of my sons are not going to have to make front some danger from the west.
