While there is one with taller building which I made a year ago, I have't thought about it.

I was thinking about City-Veiw graphic MOD made by Ismailov.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Civ1 did not have farms. Only Civ2 has farms.

Man, I played Civ1 and Civ2 a ton. But now I am having trouble separating the two in my head.

The one general comment I have is that Civ3 seems to be better balanced and more difficult than the other two. Some of the easy exploits (ICS) and way over-powered units (spys and howitzers) are gone.

Amen, brother. CivIII is more "real". No one's ever truly conquered the world!

But, both CivII and CivIII seem to lack the "flavor" of the original... so cynical... that's what I miss the most.

Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

As far as I can tell, no one has yet "broken" the system, as with ICS. I figured out ICS after playing Civ2 for about a month and doing some math modeling. I can't believe that no one that developed the game didn't realize that the first pop point of a city counted double.

Civ 3 blocks this with 2 point settlers and corruption.

The corruption model is the main thing that separates Civ3 from the previous games, way more than culture. In some ways it is THE fundamental mathematical model underlying the game.
