I am ashamed. I am truly ashamed. The writer of that article up there is an Israeli. I am speechless, really. One could argue many things but with quotes like this, I really have nothing more to say.

I wouldn't worry about it. Some of it is just plain silly. Mossad can be a bunch of evil ruthless scum, but this is too far even for them.

One reason these paranoid fantasies get going is that the news media does a very bad job of providing information and quite often undesirable facts are suppressed. This just provides grist for the mill of conspiracy theorists.

Be aware, though, that many in the S. Pacific are uneasy with sending their kids off to fight in other people's wars. If you walk through any Australian or New Zealand town you will see a sizeable memorial to their citizens lost fighting in other people's wars. This, in part, is why some are uneasy with the various "wars" of the Bush administration.

I'm curious... what exactly are you basing your opinion on - an omnipotent understanding of politics, or what you have heard in the media and gossip?

All I meant was that this nutbar should be seen in context. There are many people who think that the Howard government is acting against the wishes of the Australian people, but most of them don't suspect a Zionist conspiracy. Since the beginning of the rant is about this subject I thought it worth stating that she is right that many Australians feel uneasy about the war on terror

Many people in the South Pacific are sick of fighting in other people's stupid wars or being used to serve the interests of other countries for little reward other than new memorial monuments. It used to be Great Britain, for the last 40 years or so it has been the United States. I think this person is crazy to assume a Jewish conspiracy, but while his details are spectacularly wrong he is basically correct that terrorism isn't and shouldn't be Australia's problem and that the Howard government has succeeded in putting Australians at risk through its desire to please the United States.

Azazel, Why be ashamed. Half, nay, most of the liberals on this forum have written very similar comments concerning the USA and Israel. Everything to them is a Zionist plot or American imperialist aggression. It is a wonder that many of them actually believe their own propaganda.

Now we find that even Israeli Jews can believe the worst of the propaganda. This is not a slight on Israel. It simply illustrates that the left has a screw loose.

(Azazel, I beleive you said you were a communist. I find that hard to believe given how sensible you seem to be.)

I am a communist, thought my views on the topic differ from the ones of most of the comrades. mind you, the CPI (which is a crap organzation, but used here to proove a point) denounced the acts of of palestinian terror groups, till the late 70s, when they started to become more 'understanding'.

I am a communist,(an pro-state, far-left-winger) because I believe that at the current state of world affairs, this is the best option. my morals can be described as quasi-utilitarian.
