Truely... I thing gamespot hit a mark. I think after promising mutliplayer with CivIII itself and then making us pay $30 for it is a dishonarable, backstabbing, and complete cheat of a move. Basically what you're paying for is the multiplayer option... anything else... I reapat ANYTHING ELSE in the game could have been added with a patch, which firaxis promised but never delivered.

I was under the impression that they didn't promise MP in Civ3. I thought they stated they would have liked to include it in the game, but they didn't have time to iron out all the details by release date.
I can understand people's disenchantment with some of the MP bugs, but not with the "promise" of MP.

If people keep buying crap, the game producers will keep making it. I hear PtW isn't selling that well (at least not compared to Civ3), so maybe Firaxis will learn something. But I'm betting they won't learn anything, since they released a very buggy 1st release on Civ3, and they turned around and did an even worse buggy release of PtW.
Expect nothing but buggy games from Firaxis (at least when they're 1st released). They'll probably never fix the bugs in PtW, because I doubt they're planning any future expansion packs.
