	Papa Is Heading For The US! Lance & Dolores Heading For San Fran... Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

We're getting the flowers ready for our hair because in the latter part of January Dolores's Papa is leaving the Philippines for the first time and coming to stay with us. In November he took his first ever trip from his island to Manila for his interview. All went well and now he has his visa! WooHoo! We've been working on this for a while and shelled out many clams to make this happen. Clemente is the man's name and a great guy is he. He sacrificed everything so his kids could get their educations. His house was falling down but the tuition got paid. The kitchen actually did fall down before we started building his/our new house.

The things this man has endured with strength give me the greatest esteem for him. He is also very personable and will be a welcome addition to our home.

Anyway, we'll drive down to SF, get a hotel and take a shuttle into the airport the next day to get dad. We'll bring him back to the hotel, let him rest up that night and then head home along the coast so he can see the redwoods.

Anyone wanna tilt back a couple in SF?

I was in San Fran this summer...neat city.

I thought the Cheesecake Factory on top of the Macy's, with the heated patio and all overlooking Union Square was pretty badass

There should be a tab somewhere in you private mailbox area that says something like: "Show all messages since:" You should be able to have the option to select "the beginning" which will show all messages receieved since you signed up at Apolyton. Right now I am guessing that it is only showing the messages you have recieved in the last 10 days.

Yes thank you Ted, I did that. I think the posts in question are from before the beginning, prior to the time of the change over to our current board or something.

I believe these PMs to be truly ancient by Apolyton standards. I'd love to get to them but don't know how.

Theben, that would be great...but it might be soon. I never know what's up. I told Dolores a couple hours ago that I can go after inventory on the 18th and she acted like that was way too long to wait. Well, if I have to go to SF during inventory then I have to fly down, meet Dad and fly back...no several day trip. No dinner w/ Sten and Donie, no redwoods for Dad... Then, I asked her what about our trip that she was all happy about yesterday...yesterday mind you...and she said she didn't want to take the time away from work, she's worried about losing her favorable schedule to competeing waitresses! So, in the space of 24 hours everything has changed and I might just be in SF for half a day, at the airport.

I'll know more tomorrow, and likely everything will have changed again. That said, I'll call my travel agent tomorrow and once Dad's ticket to the US is done, and my ticket to SF is bought, there isn't any turning back...

So Theben, unless she changes her mind again, Dad will fly in the next week or so and I'll have to fly too.

I'll still be in the airport for a fair chunk of a day no doubt, and if you happened to be traveling through anyway...
