I use 'm, but i always try to finish the game without cheats, in GTA3 for example i only use cheats now, but i don't save it.

I use cheats only when and if I hit a brick wall. They tend to ruin the game otherwise.

I wouldn't say I never use cheats, but it is quite rare. There is just no sense of accomplishment. One exception is heavy use of the civ2 cheat tool to learn about the mechanics of the AI.

depends on the game, but i'm likely to try out cheats at some point, excepting for multiplayer games

Cheating against the computer is acceptable, as the computer AI's always cheat, but cheating on other people is pointless. Besides, its difficult to cheat on MP games without effort.

I think the motto "Its only cheating if you are caught" is self-deluding.

Let's say I rarely use cheats. I amost never use them.

I do use spoilers sometimes on RPG's when I get stuck. But no cheats.

I dont mind walkthroughs if im *really* stuck but i wont go any further ahead if i can help it, game codes are for chabbies on their playstations.

I need to be really desperate to use cheats since when I start to use them on a game, there's no end to it. I know it takes away the sense of accomplishment but at least you get to see the ending.

I use cheats sometimes to test the game mechanics, or to have a bit of fun after completing a game, by beginning missions with completely overwhelming forces for example.

I tend to complete a game and then cheat like hell the second time around.

I've used them, on occasion, but usually either to beat a game I've lost interest in, or sometimes to re-beat a game [total PWNage] I've already played through. I've also used them in testing specific game mechanics, and once I tried a couple texture cheats in Tribes2 just to see what they looked like and if they were effective.


Besides that time for Tribes2, I've never cheated in any other online MP game.

It depends, sometime, if i just want to have fun (like going on a rampage in gta) i will use cheats to further enable my killing ability

I don't play the kind of games that apply (I assume you mean console games and shooters where you can get extra lives etc, or spoilers like "tell the Princess the gnome's name is Rumplestiltskin if you're stuck at this point"). Civ2 and MOO2 have "cheats" that get marked on your score if you use them. They primarily serve an educational role, letting you experiment with aspects of the game.
