I talked with Togas more today, and he agreed that a military alliance would be good for both of us now, and especially in the future when things get more interesting... He told me to write up a draft, which I'm going to, then send it to Jdx3, and they will accept it to make it official.

For now, we're going to keep it secret, so as not to provoke GoW and NDE to think they have to ally to protect themselves from our alliance. Besides, the entire front with NDE and GoW would be on US for a very long time... no need to antagonize them.

We probably cant bring Gow into a triple alliance, but perhaps we can at least isolate NDE away from gow so that we wont be caught up fighting 2v2.

Togas and Roleplay are coming up with terms they would like to see, and we have to do the same. We're going to have a minor meeting sometime soon, and we should have an official document finished by the early next week.

What do you guys think would be good terms?
Togas mentioned he wanted: secrecy clause, duration, on what terms each team should be required to declare war.

Any ideas?

Sounds good to me, assuming this is dealing with the military portion of the allaince only here.

Specifically Since we all still in the early game, 30-40 turns is not unreasonable (It can be renewed) As for what should be required for war declaration: Another civ declaring on either of us OR acting is a manner indicating they are about to declare (i.e. u see a massive stack just outside your borders) should require the other to declare on the offending civ. I actually think the Pre-emptive strike idea is very important in MP, since it may possibly force the civ that was going to attack to, at the minimum, divert some of the stack to face the new threat.
