The Official Glory of War PBEM

It’s going to be violent.
It’s going to bloody.
People are going to be hurt.
Possibly even some tears.

Sign up if your interested in playing a GOW only PBEM.

All the options are up for discussion.

How do we allocate Civs ?
- First in First served ?
- Or roll the dice to see who gets China ?
- Or all random (I hope GF gets India )

Do we need a moderator?
i.e. someone who will act independently from the game, and take over someone’s turn if they are unable to play.

Map size ? and settings ? Any AI ? all depends on how many are interested in playing.

Game Set up ?
I suggest multiple games are generated, and sent to all players.
Each player can veto a game that they refuse to play…but rank all others.
At the end of the first round, the most popular game will be continued only.
(This will ensure most players will have a good starting position)

Include your play availability times..and convert it to GMT…(This will be used to set up the order of play)
Include your top civ choices….(Not sure who gets who..still to be decided.)

(I am pretty flexible on my Civ choice.)

If there is anything you would like changed in the options..just post it.

I suggest some of these options..

Allocation of Civs.
Everyone picks their top 5...and dice are rolled to see who gets what.
Therefore no dud unwanted civs are chosen, but still throws a bit on random into it.

Game start...

This will ensure most get a good starting position.

Are we happy to have only 3 players ? Or shall we keep it open for a little longer ?
I'd like to see a couple more.

We built a statue for Aggie !!! Who wouldnt like to take him on ?

Iroquoi (never played them before)
Rome (played back on Chieften level)
Persians (played back on Chieften level)



So its.....

Tiny Pangea world
Roaming Barbs
Random settings for everything else ?
Standed settings where appropriate.

Which is the better turn order ?
Hot_enamel -> Panzer32 -> GhengisFarb or
Hot_enamel -> GhengisFarb -> Panzer32

It all depends who's "play time" arrives first ?


I will generate 4 different games.
Play all 4 and list them from best (1) to worst (4).
At the end of the first round, only the best game will be continued. (lowest score)
This will ensure we will all get a reasonable good map/starting position.

If no-one else wants to join up....I will start the game up tonight, (10 hours time) and create a turn thread in the PBEM forums.

If you want any specific settings other than random..post here.

My playing time generally starts at 2100GMT, and lasts till around 0400GMT. GF is one time zone behind me, but I don't know his schedule.
