Please, most Protestants worship the Bible over God. Jesus, himself, could come down to Earth and begin preaching, and I guarantee that there will be a large group of people criticizing his statements that don't coincide with the Bible.

Agree, DaiShi- but would it be the Christians doing so? It's a good way for atheists to sow doubt, he can't be Christ, because he doesn't follow the bible.

Protestants, particularly evangelicals place a large value on scripture, but it doesn't mean we worship scripture. We'd much rather worship the author.

I don't think the people buying this thing are guilty of idolatry, but they are guilty of buying a cheap looking, poorly made doll.

I agree that those buying the doll are not necessarily committing idolatry, and I don't think it was the intention of the makers, but it just becomes much easier with than without
