My civ .sav files are starting to get out of hand again. In windows, I have been deleting them one, by one, and this takes some time. Is there some way to select all the files you want to delete, and then delete them all at once?

And you can select/deselect individual files by Ctrl-Clicking on them.

I use the same approach as Paul of sorting the files by their extension. I also try to keep at least a handful of saves from each game, typically the saves from 4000 bc, 1000 bc, 1 ad, 1000 ad, 1500 ad, 1750 ad, 1850 ad - as well as the last two saved turns of the games.
I keep those for future reference and comparison purposes, and I just delete the files in between using the Ctrl key and the left mouse button as described above.
In addition, it's really helpful in cases of future reference if you use some kind of standardized way of naming the save files. I've recently taken up customizing the name of the leader of my civ alphabetically from game to game, ie. Absalon, Acidophilus , Adonis and so on. Now my saves are neatly arranged in the folder in ascending date order. Brilliant, if I may say so myself.
