All The Idea of coneccting israel to the united states in wrong. israel is one of the most powerfull nations ever been in the world. the fact that our territory is not huge like the soviet unions or the US dosen't means that israel should be under another goverment. especially not under the USA.
The same is about Korea.
There was an Idea to make a 31 nations in this scenario, that will be much better because every country will be under it's own goverment. and there will be more civilizations--> more wars and more trade routs.
think about it.
Here's the list of the most powerfull nations in the world:

1. Soviet Union
2. USA
3. China
4. Israel
5. Korea(both)
6. India
7. Japan
8. The Muslim League(Morroco, Libya, Palestine(if
posible),S.Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and so on)

10. australia(Surely deserves to be independet) with all
the islands around(Tasmania,new zeland...)
11. African League(all the non muslim countries)
12. South Africa
13. Iraq
14. EU(Italy, Spain, chez respuplic...)
15. United Kingdom(england, Ireland, iceland)
16. Duetchland(Germany and austria)
17. Scandinavia(denmark, norway, Finland...)
18. Brazil
19. Argentina
20. The United S.America(Chili,Uraguay...)
21. The united M.America(Mexico, Guatamalla, Cuba...)
22. Turkey
23. Pakistan(they have a nukes!)

now I'm out of Ideas, but this is a nice idea, It covers the most of the worlds nations.

Israel only has power in its immediate vicinity. The nation is too small and dependent (not to mention it's status as an international pariah) to exert any real power past the ME.

Surely That wasn't the main reason, but it's nice.
About the ranking... there is no ranking, I just wrote this nations without any purpise to rank one nation or another in her real place at the world, I wrote it just the way it came out of my head.

Hmm... I think that Iceland and Norway are much more linked than England and Iceland...

Dividing Europe is a tough question. To separate EU to different countries would be difficult. I do not believe partial separation a la France + Spain and Italy + Switzerland. I think the EU including or excluding GB and joining countries would be fine. Arabian countries could then also be joined although it would be not very accurate also. Not to forget the Ukraine - it's not Russia nor is it joining EU.

So I vote for EU although I am not very sure as I have seen a Finn disliking joining Norway and Finland to a single civilization. I do not even want to imagine if Finland would be joined to EU with Luxembourg, for example )

Israel - US; Israel - UK - EU; US - Canada - UK realtionships are also a difficult questions. Also arabian countries' realtions: Compare the relation of Morocco or Egypt wiht Sudan and Iraq, for example.

Aha... one more thing... I think that Taiwan is a really important country also. I think it could be joined with China. Forbidden Palace and Capital would be distributed among Taibei and Beijing. They are practically the same nation? I hope and think that they will find a peaceful situation to the current situation. China would just press CTRL+R or something...

Hang on - Tasmania and new zealand (normally written New Zealand) are islands off australia (normally written Australia)? (Tasmania is actually an Australian state.)

On the contrary, Australia (both the mainland and Tasmania) are islands off the coast of New Zealand (about 1200 miles away), just like Auckland Island and the Cook Islands. Not to mention Samoa and Tonga, and that other little island, Antarctica.

To indicate how powerful we are, we have just disbanded our airforce. If we don't even need an airforce, we must be pretty strong!

everyone knows that capitalism rules the world. capitalism is the sum of companies. companies are lead by managers. managers have stress. stress can be tolerated if you consume enough drugs (alcohol, caffein, sweet stuff, tobacco, and harder stuff). tobacco, sugar, caffein and specially cocaine come mainly from central and southern america. and the best beer comes from the check republic and holland.

now seriously. che, you really need to get your knowledge of geography, religions and politics broader.

i agree that israel has a powerful army. maybe not place 4 but somewhere up high.
- but why put in the check republic together with spain and italy in the EU, although germany, UK and france are all larger and more powerful than E+I and the checks havn't even joined yet.
- iceland belongs to the UK? hm... last i heard of, they are considered a scandinavian country... so do the swedes (who are by the way the most populous scandinavian country). and as some stated before: finland isn't in that group (well, ok, geographically maybe ;-))
- you're also confusing the arab league with the muslim league...
- if you count the soviet union (ended 1991), you should also name the former republic of yugoslavia. they had the 4th-largest army of the world in the 80s.
- germany is written "deutschland"
- tasmania? not much there except some tasmanian devils ...
- united far east with mongolia and thailand? you're somehow forgetting that there's a small country between them: china? id put mongolia into the chinese civ (there's only a few million mongolians) and thai, vietnam, cambodia and others into a far east asia civ...
- where's eastern europe?
