The description states "Increases base siting radius to 3 squares, acts as sensor and is cumulative with existing sensors".
If you have a sensor within the base territory, then you increase square radius of that sensor to 5, the radius of the entire base??

When they say cumulative they mean that the defence bonus is increased, not sensor range.
