Actual I have no idea how good the AI can handle invasions over the sea, therefore we need some land but also some water is good there therefore land +1.

Its my experience that once I concour my continent the AI will not try to land in my territory. Except for lawyers and corporate franchises.

This way land will be quite valuable (and disputed), but it will not be so much land that we will have to build transports all the time in order to ferry the troops.

As I wrote in another thread:

Combine this setting with the one from wet/dry.

If we are making this with much water and we also choose wet in the other setting, then Frozzy don't have to ask. We WILL become fish ( or at least - fishfood ) again!
