	Cartoon Channel "Adult Swim" Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Is it just me or has the Cartoon Channel "Adult Swim" time late at night taken a recent leap into the ordinary and boring? I miss the previous lineup that included that girl with the demi-demon ("sit-boy") (I know the name but I can't possibly spell it) and Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah, I saw the last episodes of Cowboy Bebop, but I want to see them again.

OTOH, maybe they have released me from staying up late Saturday nights!

What Apoc said. They've got Cowboy Bebop and Inu Yasha on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights now.

The Williams Street cartoons (Go Sealab!) are still on Sundays.

I bet in japanese, they talk about how society behaves under certain circustamces, deep philosophical debate, proper way to treat a lady and indulge in the latest fashion gossip all before they fight.

but the americans messed up in the translation and we get.. "grrrr...!"

just imagine, vegeta doesnt actually hate Goku because he is stronger than him, but he has been holding a grudge ever since goku borrowed vegeta's one-piece dress... damn that translation. It all makes sense!

They use "pointless posturing" because it takes up time and they don't actually have much of a plot-line. LOL! It's like the "soap-opera" newspaper comic strips. No action, just promises of it.

Pet DBZ peeve: Why does one character watch another work for a couple of minutes developing some lethal attack and then just stand there another minute for it to arrive?

why have a 5 minute fighting scene, if you can have an entire episode with the same content except with addition of lil "mean while back in...." and fighters standing still looking intimidated as well as explaining what they have done AND what they are doing AND what they will do?

It's already in some areas. Er... one area. Something like that.

You know... now that I think about it, I've never heard anything about how popular DBZ was in Japan. It's got tons of episodes, so it must have been getting decent ratings. Of course, it's obvious they didn't cost a whole lot to make.

Oh, boy. That stuff has been coming out in greatly increasing amounts lately. In the US you should try Excel Saga, FLCL, Dragon Half, and I'm Going to be an Angel. Upcoming is Puni Puni Poemi, a spin off of Excel Saga (only an OVA, so less censorship limits). Pretty much anything by Broccoli (Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angels). And the Excel team is still smoking crack, er, making crack... I mean, well, you know. Like "The Jungle was always Nice, then Along Came Guu".

Luckily the better stuff is finally making its way on the air. Cowboy Bebop on CN, Crest of the Stars and Serial Experiments: Lain on Tech TV, and whole channel coming (some of it will actually be good, too, although Sturgeon's Law applies).

I do wonder what would happen if a station, say Cartoon Network, tried to air something like Hikaru no Go...

I watched some Crest of the Stars, but the dub was so awful that I couldn't help cracking up at some of the horrible lines. And there were too many damn commercials.

I hate Cartoon Network for this pathetic new Adult Swim schedule.

Why did they had to mess with a good thing, for Futurerama? That's not even anime! Not everyone can stay up to 2am and get up for work 5am. And the only thing I watched the Sunday Adult Swim was for Sealab and HTHF. What really p***** me off about this is that Inuyasha was getting good.

So I'm basicly boycotting AOL Timewarner until this is fixed, basicly find exec's e-mails addresses and flooding them. Does David and Goliath ring a bell here?

I wish could say more, but I don't feel like taking a trip to Mingapulco at the moment.
