Too bad nobody else in Europe thinks like this. Since you let the war in Bosnia rage on for years, and collectively wrung your hands at Kosovo.

The US >>IS<< the biggest threat to world peace. We're going to launch a war to stomp every mass murdering two bit dictator trying to get nukes and go big time. If we don't we end up w/ blackmailers like NK. I have zero problem with being a part of the biggest threat, I like it.

World peace is the holy cow of the left, to me it's a burger on the hoof.

Right, you're doing this all in the name of human rights, sure. That's probably the reason why the US is beside Somalia the only nation that hasn't signed the "Rights of Children charta" of the UN...
Anyhow, don't be so proud of "stomp every murdering etc.". You actually supported a lot of cruel massmurdering dictators (like Saddam, back in those times when he only nerve-gased the Shiites and didn't invade Kuwait).
If it were for nukes, you should take all your forces and up to North Korea - those guys are really completely nuts and actually THREATEN peace, while Saddam was busy suppressing his own poor people (which is damn bad), but NOTHING points to him being involved in the terrorist attacks nor islamic terrorism in general!
The only thing the US attack does is making the whole muslim world even more angry. Even in Turkey, your allies, a vast majority is against the war, yet you force their heads of state to let you use their bases. They'll be pissed at that, you can guarantee. The US want their war against Iraq, and as usual they don't care what everyone else says in this world, creating more conflict.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

From a logical perspective this result is logical. The US are the only ones threatening force and projecting it over large distances. Iraq/NK can grumble their idle threats but the would only affect their own region (it is not like NK can send a carrier battlegroup to lay waste to Sydney or London...). As such the US is the greatest threat to peace, but then again as some say war could lead to decent results and might sometimes be necessary. I think the reasons should be the humanitarian ones and not to raise cash for your buddies in the arms industry, but then again I am not a American citizen and i didn;t vote Bush in.

The poll has choices between Iraq, NK and USA in the year 2003. In 2003, the biggest threat is the US, of course, but the whole reason is so that in future years Iraq or NK will not be. What would you rather have, superpower NK or Iraq or superpower US?

Israel and Japan are the proletariat of the western imperialist powers. (Well the Americans did not succed in following up on that, but they are not under the same time pressure as the Europeans aganst Communist revanchism - and the anti-communist psy-ops operation - the free market idea- is beginning to wear off)

As such Israel and potentially Japan are dangerous because they might seek to revise the present carving up of the world.

The United States is dangerous because it is immensely powerful and is allowed to use force against it's own citizens more excessively than any other western nation.
And has a large infrastucture and personel for controlling the populace in place.

Europe is only a threat to world peace if it is pushed hard enough - so that the Europeans begin to share a common worldview. However the chance that they will fight against each other over economic issues is greater. l

If those were the options, then the US definitely. No question. But.. in the future.. I could see NK becoming something of a threat for all of us. Iraq won't be a big threat in the future..
But I have to remind that we don't really mind it being a threat (the US) because we're not it's enemies. If NK would be threat, we could be it's enemies. There's a difference.
I think there less than 1 people in this board who would like to see NK be the bigger threat than the US.
I don't like to see anyone as a threat, except maybe the United States of Finland.

And we could also make it more profitable to do trades and business with each other, like we could lower taxation of our own companies doing business with americans. And help put up new businesses with good start moneys, etc.. also we could do more business so, that we would give our airspace free for fighters to fly, and you could give us more weapons etc, we could give you logistical support and bases for equipment, and you would cut us a tasty deal with us buying more fighters etc.. you know favor to favor, nice deals etc. But I'm not the president or anything, and they do anything to avoid being pressured by Putin etc.. pussies.

GP, Sure, we can send you some hotties, they won't put out with locals anyway. They have seen 1 foreigner in their lives, so everytime they see foreigner they go 'uh you are so exotic! I want you now!'. So, we don't need them anyway.

Well everyone says we're making our own decisions, Putin has to live with it. That's the biggest lie ever. Maybe it was clearly seen in the 70s, but still today. Maybe a year ago(?) Putin came to Finland to talk about things, and people wanted our president to talk about NATO and .. some wanted Karelia on the list too. First thing Putin said was 'These subjects are too dangerous to talk'. And that was the end of the story.

Now, the only real thing in our NATO memberships way is not money, but what Russia thinks about it. ANd that's the truth. I'm ashamed some of our politicians are such diplomatics, we need to do for ourselves, not to others.
It's one of the hottest topics here, NATO, to join or not to join. It's looking very clear, that we are slowly moving to NATO. Our equipment is changing to NATO compatable, some methods etc to NATO friendly.

But we don't need protection from Russia, we are still buddies. It just makes me furious sometimes that they let people make threats like that, and not hit back with anything. They should say 'it's none of your business who our allies are, stop making hidden threats and smiling same time. We will defend ourselves, so come on! We'll slap you again, and this time we are stronger and confident'. Something like that. But I'm not politician, or diplomat, or ever will be .

I'm not sure, I guess they get attention easily too. You just have to play your cards right. Remember, you don't have to make the girl drunk, she will be drunk already.
Just bring enough money to keep it coming..
you won't be hearing 'are you trying to make me drunk?' here. It's more like 'where's the booze'.
